Iron Springs

The new Huntsville School provides spaces for students, teachers and parents to come together in a facility with a new sense of identity in the town of Iron Springs. The school embrace’s current educational trends, including Alberta’s Inspiring Education mandate, as well as the local agricultural vernacular.

Initially planned as a K-9 school, the design for the Huntsville Replacement School evolved into a K-12 to provide opportunities for further education to the local community. The new facility includes one modular unit with the capacity for three additional modulars in the future.

Huntsville now has the amenities of a modern school including a new gathering space, learning commons, gymnasium, classroom kitchen and a new playground, all with public access to the community. With these resources, individuals can learn and grow together within a larger community.
