Waterton Lakes National Park

The new Waterton Lakes National Park Visitor Centre site is designed as a large town plaza consisting of three major areas - the Interpretive Hall, Administrative Wing and public washrooms. These areas are designed as separate facilities under one unifying roof and are integrated with outdoor interpretive elements and an outdoor amphitheatre.

Facing Vimy Peak, the Interpretive Hall takes advantage of the majestic mountain views to the west. Care has been taken to ensure the scale of the visitor centre reflects the village flavour of Waterton while still providing an attractive and awe-inspiring facility. By using simple forms built with natural materials and utilizing beautiful craftsman details, the result will be an elegant building befitting the spectacular location of Waterton Lakes National Park.
