Medicine Hat High School Modernization

schools

Medicine Hat, Alberta

The modernization of MHHS will transform this 1960s era building into a school facility that fosters student growth and development, promotes school community, and above all enhances the ability of MHSD #76 to meet the mandate of “Developing tomorrow’s citizens through improved learning, living, and relationships”. The design involves a series of open collaboration spaces for students and staff. Supported by smaller breakout and meeting rooms, these spaces enhance the ability of students to work together on project work, support one another in smaller groups, or find quiet spaces for individual work or study. At the center of the school, where the original gym is located, a new, open gathering space and learning commons will be carved out to create a new heart for MHHS.
