Piikani Nation Fire Hall and Multi-Use Facility

Piikani Nation, Brocket, Alberta

FWBA Architects completed a multi-use facility design study for the Piikani Nation of Southwestern Alberta incorporating administration offices, council chambers, cultural spaces and fire hall functions. The concept design responds to the high winds in this part of the province, while creating a unique focal community building and inviting sheltered outdoor public spaces. Characterized by low sloped profiles informed by geography, culture, and code requirements, the building forms harmonize with the natural environment. Currently, the project is awaiting funding approval.
